We believe that everyone has the right to individually tailored support, whether they need a 4:1 staff ratio or a few hours a week to be supported with their tenancy
Developing Independence skills
We support and encourage individuals with everyday tasks, including personal care, housing related tasks, household chores, grocery shopping and managing their money. We make it possible for people to access local facilities such as leisure centres and libraries, as well as helping them to fulfill their employment wishes. We are also able to plan and support people to go on holidays, trips to the theatre, football matches etc.
We understand that people may wish to use a personal budget, direct payment or Self Directed Support (Scotland) to pay for Golden Support staff to provide support. We are able to work with individuals and their advocates to ensure that this is set up to meet the person’s needs.

Everything we do at Golden Support is guided by the people who use our services. The support we offer is tailored to the needs of each individual. We offer a flexible and person-centred approach which allows us to align our services with the unique needs of the people we support. We will ensure right from the beginning that you will know what we will do to support you and what our responsibilities are, which can include helping you with setting up your home and gaining a tenancy.

Learning Disability Support
What is a learning disability?
A learning disability is a neurologically-based impairment affecting the processing power of the individual. It can hinder basic skills such as time planning, organisation, abstract reasoning along with retention and long and short term memory. Difficulty in writing and reading can be recognised easily during the school years.

What is autism?
Autism impairs the ability to interact with others. This disorder is also recognised as autistic disorder or pervasive developmental disorder. Golden Support offers support services for autistic patients in England.
Social-interaction difficulties
People with autism face difficulty in engaging with people. They may not be able to comprehend another person’s actions in certain situations and find it difficult to create new relationships. Moreover, understanding non-verbal commands can also be a challenge for them.

At Golden Support, we make sure the individuals are living a life they were accustomed to. We make sure they are comfortable and satisfied with our residential support.
Education
At Golden Support, we help individuals learn new skills. We monitor their performance to make sure they are developing their understanding skills with time. We not only teach them in our accommodation but also help them access education. We do thorough research to find the best possible schools suited for them, where they can get quality education. One-to-one discussions

Golden Support’s, twenty-four-hour mental health services ensures that our service -users strive to live normal lives. A part of our mental health support is to access the community and aid with performing simple tasks such as shopping, various outdoor activities, having a cup of coffee at their favourite café, etc. Our trained employees are qualified to provide behavioural support and our mental health nurse on board provides clinical supervision.
